It has been such an exciting time in Year 5 during our recent topic in Science, Life Cycles.  After settling our tadpoles into their new home, each class has observed their progress in the class tanks.  The children used ICT to research what to feed them; how to clean them out and what they would require when metamorphosis occurred.  They catered for all their needs and looked after them so well!

It was thrilling to see the tadpoles grow legs and climb on to the rocks.  As they started to hop, it was time to release them!  Some went to the pond in Mrs Cassidy's garden and the others have become permanent residents at SSMS in our school pond.  It has been such a wonderful learning experience and enjoyed by all.  We will miss our class pets but we hope to see them soon when we do outdoor learning.
