We have added a new Stage 1 beginners swimming class to our ASA Learn to Swim Programme on Wednesdays at 4pm. For more information and to book, please ring the school on 0191 237 1505. We have limited availability on all other stages. 

 

We run courses for both adults and children of all ages and abilities.

Children's Swimming

Follow the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway and support your child to develop their swimming technique and awareness of water safety and personal survival.

Tutor: Jill Henderson - ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach.

Our 'Guide to the ASA Learn to Swim Pathway at Astley' explains our swimming groups so you can enrol your child for a suitable session. Our friendly qualified swimming teachers will also assess your child’s skills so that they can improve at the rate that’s best for them. We offer swimming lessons to children aged 5 and above or when they start reception.

We offer swimming programmes on Tuesday - Friday from 4.30pm.

  • Autumn Term - 13 weeks: week commencing 9 September 2019 excluding half-term and week commencing 7 October 2019.
  • Spring Term - 12 weeks: week commencing 6 January 2020 excluding half-term.

Adult Swimming

Join our friendly swimming groups suitable for all levels including those who want to learn to swim for the first time.

Tutor: Jill Henderson - ASA Level 2 Swimming Coach.

All of our 12 week programmes run Monday and Wednesday from 6.30pm as follows:

  • Autumn Term - 13 weeks: week commencing 9 September 2019 excluding half-term and week commencing 7 October 2019.
  • Spring Term - 12 weeks: week commencing 6 January 2020 excluding half-term.

Enrolment

We enrol at any time so you or your child can join a swimming group whenever you/they are ready.

Enrol by calling the Community Office on 0191 237 1505 or in person during term time at Astley Community High School Main Reception. During term time, our Reception opening hours are Monday to Friday: 8.30am-4.30pm.
