Careers education plays a vital role in supporting every learner’s personal development and future success. At Seaton Sluice Middle School, we are committed to equipping pupils with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to navigate the world of work and plan for their future.
Our careers programme supports pupils in Years 5–8, encouraging them to explore a wide range of career possibilities, understand different education and training pathways, and develop the transferable skills required for life beyond school. Through a carefully planned programme of curriculum learning, targeted events and enrichment activities, pupils gain a broad and balanced understanding of the opportunities available to them.
Aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks for good practice in careers education, our programme promotes high aspirations, challenges stereotypes and ensures pupils receive high-quality information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their future.
