What a successful evening we had last week at Blyth Academy; we talked to a large number of prospective students about the array of courses we have on offer at our sixth form. We have A Level courses in English, Maths, Sciences, Art & Design, French, Humanities, Law, Performance and Psychology as well as BTEC Subjects in Applied Science, Business Studies, Health &Social Care, Digital Media, Sports Coaching and Travel & Tourism.
They were really interested in the sixth form block with our conducive learning environment, Cafe 6 and student relaxation area; it is important to us that students have somewhere to relax and socialise as well as a quiet study area.
We welcomed 22 students from other schools, including Blyth Academy, into our current Year 12. It was great to meet so many students and their parents at the event and we hope to welcome them to Astley Community High School in September 2023.
