SSMS is pleased to announce that the Sponsored Fun Run is back!
The annual Sponsored Fun Run will take place on Friday 22 October at 1.30pm. The Fun Run is always a very enjoyable afternoon and is a firm favourite with both pupils and staff. The children need to come to school dressed for the run; this includes the option to wear their best fancy-dress costumes and in the past many pupils (and staff) have made a big effort with this.
A sponsor form has been sent home with your child. It would be fantastic if every child could raise a minimum of £5 in sponsorship – if they did, we would receive a massive sum of £1560! The money raised will be used within school and will benefit all the pupils.
In the past, we have used the money for:

Purchasing equipment for different areas in school e.g. within PE, technology and computing departments;

Improving the school library e.g. buying new books;

Enhancing the wildlife area;

Developing forest school;

Subsidising end of term treats for pupils e.g. paying for the bus to the cinema.
