ACHS students Jaime and Beth bring the Christmas spirit to their local community by organising a Community Christmas Party for local children and young people.

The students have organised the party as part of the volunteering they are doing at New Hartley Kids Club. They had to produce a Key Fund bid for the event, which was fully costed. This bid had to be presented to a panel and the girls explained why the local community deserved this funding.

Once the money was secured, the girls shopped for all food and gifts, organised the disco and booked Santa for the event. They have also publicised the event and will be working hard on the night to ensure all runs smoothly.

There will be a disco, a raffle with 27 prizes, and every child will see Santa and receive a gift. Pizzas have been ordered for delivery too.  About fifty children and young people aged 5-15 from the local area are invited.

The Community Christmas Party will be held at New Hartley Memorial Hall on Wednesday 18 December.

Community spirit at Christmas! ACHS is proud of you both.
