What a week it has been for our year 5 pupils who attended their first residential at SSMS; 44 pupils (along with 4 enthusiastic members of staff) attended Dukeshouse Wood in Hexham, where we jumped into every challenge thrown at us.

Over the three days we took part in a wide range of activities: from scrambling to the top of the climbing wall; to jumping off a ridiculously high platform in our Leap of Faith; to flying through the sky on the 3G swing. The week ended with shooting arrows into a target, building our very own fires and a trip over, under and round the obstacle course.

Behaviour was impeccable, pupils pushed themselves as far as they could and everyone had a great time. Staff couldn’t be prouder of all 44 pupils and can’t wait for next year! :-)
