In Science, Year 5 have started a new topic on Living Things and their Habitats. We are looking at the life cycles of mammals, amphibians, insects and birds. To increase understanding of these processes, we have incubated some chick eggs and are watching them as the baby chicks hatch! We have all been very excited and are looking forward to handling and looking after the chicks as they grow. At the end of half term, the chicks will go back to the farm.
We also have some tadpoles so that we can observe the metamorphosis as they turn into froglets! We will then release them back into the wild.
