Our French word of the week is “Les crêpes” - pancakes! On 2nd February, La Chandeleur is celebrated in France, to mark the lighter spring days coming. Traditionally, people hold a coin in their left hand whilst flipping a pancake with their right hand; if the pancake lands perfectly in the pan, your family will enjoy wealth and luck all year.
